Sydney Falle
Sydney Falle’s love of music began—like any proper Cornish girl’s—in a stormy field, watching local legendary band Mad Dog McCrea. Growing up in Cornwall, she was surrounded by a vibrant folk scene that encouraged a great deal of musical mischief and most importantly, she discovered the power of music to bring people together.
Her musical career then followed a much more conventional line throughout adolescence, joining chamber choirs and becoming obsessed with complex harmonies, performing in a range of remarkable venues from the Royal Festival Hall to St Mark’s Basilica in Venice.
These days, she’s married her technical practice with the musical hooliganism that originally inspired her, and can often be found back in muddy fields writing, singing and performing at festivals across the UK with her favourite group of women, Scary Little Girls, a contemporary feminist theatre company.
She has also worked as a singing instructor, helping kids form bands, build confidence, find their voice, and—most importantly—bringing them together through music.
A singer, pianist, and all-round music obsessive, Sydney brings passion, joy, and an infectious energy to Rock Choir, always guided by her first lesson: music is best when shared.
