Narelle Hill is a Jazz trained pianist, contemporary vocalist, songwriter and producer with over two decades of live music, recording and performance experience. Based in West Yorkshire, she lives with her husband, son, two dogs and two cats.
Narelle has been a Rock Choir leader for over 10 years which has led to fantastic opportunities such as performing to sold-out audiences at Edinburgh Fringe (2019 & 2024), leading massive choir performances—800 members at York Barbican and 300 at Halifax Victoria Theatre with the pinnacle achievement of recording her choirs at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in 2024!
Other achievements for Narelle and her choirs include supporting the BBC’s “Naked Choir” winners Sons of Pitches, singing the national anthems on the pitch for the Rugby World Cup (learning the Italian, American, Canadian and Scottish anthems was a challenge!), performing at BBC Proms in the Park (2018 & 2019), as well as performing and supporting the local community events and charities in the West Yorkshire area.
Having previously been a signed recording artist she has performed alongside some great musical talent including Mica Paris, Rose Royce and invited to perform at designer Karen Millen’s exclusive Christmas party which included a stage above a swimming pool! Narelle also spent many years playing piano and singing in bars/restaurants and performing as lead vocalist in function bands at weddings and events across the North of England.
Beyond performance, Narelle co-founded a music publishing company specialising in sync licensing, creating songs & compositions for television, film, and advertising. Her work has reached global audiences through major brands and networks including Guinness, Sky, MTV, HBO, Channel 4, and BBC, showcasing her versatility as both creator and producer. In her spare time Narelle also works on music for children and with Rufus as her “harshest critic” and occasional co-writer, Narelle continues to explore the joy of music-making in this fresh, family-centred chapter!
