Jen Bonnar
Jen began singing in early childhood and has never stopped! She started as a member of the Scottish National Choir and progressed to singing in vocal groups backing up opera singer Placido Domingo, musical theatre legend Kerry Ellis and indie band The Kooks. She has enjoyed her singing experiences in a diverse spectrum of musical genres and performing in both intimate and concert hall venues, such as being part of the entertainment team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, alongside Deacon Blue and Kylie.
Jen built a successful career within learning and development and was confident that combining her skills around empowerment and motivation with her passion for music was a winning combination. She especially enjoys arranging songs for small groups and choirs and being able to teach and perform with them.
Jen has been a member of Rock Choir since 2012 and after working as a choir leader with the Glasgow Gospel Choir and 6 Scottish based community choirs, was delighted to take on the opportunity to step forward as a new Rock Choir leader. She believes that bringing fun, connection, community and gorgeous harmonies together is what makes her rehearsals special.
