Choir Leader Abigail Harris runs Rock Choir in Hertford / Ware, Rock Choir in St Albans, and Rock Choir in Watford / Bushey.

Abigail is a classically trained musician with four Grade 8 certificates in piano, voice, oboe and saxophone. Abigail has been awarded the Licentiate from the RAM, and also holds a BMus (Hons) degree from the Royal Academy of Music.. Her specialised teaching experience spans over 15 years; for Hertfordshire Music Service and many primary, state and independent schools. Abigail is a member of the BVA (British Voice Association), and regularly attends courses in singing methods and choral conducting. Abigail has won various awards including the ‘Sherrards and Observer Excellence Award’ and the ‘Guinness Music in Community Prize’. Abigail has also performed solo roles at St Martin–in–the-fields, The Royal Albert Hall, Spitalfields festival, The Wigmore Hall, Wells Cathedral , The National Portrait Gallery, St Albans Abbey Cathedral, with English Touring Opera and sung various works accompanied by the Southbank Sinfonia.

Abigail is an asset to the Rock Choir Team and is adored by the members for her lovely personality and talent. Abigail teaches with energy, passion and humour and her choirs produce beautiful sounds, also leading towards numerous exciting performances and opportunities, including singing at Euro Disney, on the pitch at Wembley Stadium, and recording at Abbey Road Studios, to name but a few! Abigail’s choirs also perform at many charity events and have helped raise thousands of pounds for local and national charities over the years.

A friendly, encouraging and caring teacher, Abigail relishes the opportunity to work with anyone who has a love of music. To quote “Rock Choir is amazing! Do not hesitate to join!
