Aileen’s singing voice was first nurtured through competing in the local Mòd in Inverness, where a lifelong connection to Gaelic song and performance began. From these early roots in Highland tradition, Aileen has built a dynamic and wide-ranging musical career as a performer, songwriter, and vocal leader.

She went on to gain a BA in Popular Music Performance at Perth College UHI, developing a versatile practice spanning folk, rock, musical theatre, pop, jazz and gospel alongside Gaelic and Scots song. Aileen has performed widely across the UK and Europe, with appearances at major cultural events including Glastonbury Festival, Belladrum, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the StAnza Poetry Festival.

Alongside her performance career, Aileen is a passionate and dedicated vocal leader, creating inclusive singing spaces that bring people together through shared voice, creativity, and connection. Her song-leading experience includes early years music-making, school sessions, dementia-friendly singing groups, community choirs, and workshops that encourage confidence, wellbeing, and joy in singing.
