12 Runners. Thousands of Voices. One Iconic Team Challenge.
For the first time ever, Rock Choir will be entering a team of 12 runners in the 2027 TCS London Marathon on Saturday 24th April, raising funds for Comic Relief.
Eight of our incredible Rock Choir Leaders and four members of our HQ team will be lacing up their trainers and taking on the iconic 26.2-mile course through the streets of London, representing Rock Choir regions across the UK and Ireland.
Training is already in full swing, with the team following dedicated plans to improve their strength and stamina ahead of marathon day. With ambitious fundraising goals in place, the runners have also been busy brainstorming ideas to help raise money for Comic Relief.
Continuing Our Longstanding Partnership with Comic Relief
Our Rock Choir London Marathon 2027 challenge builds on our longstanding partnership with Comic Relief, which has continued for over 20 years.
Over that time, Rock Choir has raised around £200,000 for Comic Relief through a variety of fun events, including live concerts, charity music singles, fundraising in rehearsals, community events, flashmobs and singathons.
The 2027 London Marathon is set to be another major fundraising occasion. A record-breaking 100,000 runners are expected to take part across the weekend, with around 50,000 running each day. This follows an all-time high of more than 1.33 million ballot applications, with organisers expecting the event to raise more than £150 million for charitable causes.
The entire Rock Choir family will be behind #TeamRockChoir as our runners prepare to take on this challenge. We’ll be supporting them as one choir, from fundraising and helping motivate them through training to cheering them on along the marathon route.
We’re planning plenty of events, flashmobs and in-session fundraising as we build towards Red Nose Day and the London Marathon.
Meet Team Rock Choir: Our 12 London Marathon Runners
Our team is made up of eight Rock Choir Leaders and four members of our HQ team. We’ve also paired our HQ runners with different regions as Honorary Rockies, giving us representation from across the UK and Ireland.
Each runner will be representing their region throughout the challenge, with the support of our wider Rock Choir community behind them.

Support Team Rock Choir’s London Marathon 2027 Fundraiser
There are so many ways you can get behind our team. You can donate, organise your own fundraising activity, join an event, suggest something gloriously silly or cheer from the sidelines.
You can also help by commenting on our social media updates, sharing fundraising links with friends and family or simply singing Keep on Running! to encourage our runners through their training and on the big day itself.
Fundraising, Music and Plenty of Rock Choir Support
We’ll be sharing more information about events and ways to get involved in the new year, with plenty of opportunities for our members and local communities to take part.
We’ll also be creating Team Rock Choir playlists to keep our runners motivated through those training miles. After all, if anyone knows how to create a feel-good, uplifting soundtrack, it’s us!
As we get closer to marathon day, there’ll be plenty of ways to join in. From fundraising and sharing your expertise to suggesting songs, creating banners and signs and, of course, coming along to cheer our runners on in person.
We have a feeling some rather impressive Rock Choir banners may make an appearance around the marathon route!

When we pull together, our runners will have the collective goodwill, singing and positive energy of the whole Rock Choir community behind them.
There may be 26.2 miles between the start and the finish, but they certainly won’t be running them alone.
