Sam Foggo – Rock Choir Glasgow City Centre
Sam discovered Rock Choir through a simple love of singing, especially songs by artists like Take That, Olly Murs, Sam Ryder and Natasha Bedingfield.
That passion for music led him to join Rock Choir in Glasgow city centre, where he found a place to enjoy singing a wide range of songs and be part of something bigger.
A love of music that keeps growing
From the very beginning, what stood out to Sam was the variety of music.
“I love Rock Choir because you get to sing a variety of different songs by different artists from different eras… the list is endless with a lot of favourites that I’ve sung.”
Being part of a choir that explores music across decades has kept things fresh and exciting, with each rehearsal bringing something new to enjoy.
From Teen Rock Choir to familiar face
Sam’s journey with Rock Choir began when he joined Teen Rock Choir, something that became an important part of his early experience.
“I was also a part of the Teen Rock Choir when I joined… and ever since then, I’ve given myself the nickname ‘the OG Teen Rockie’.”
Over time, he has become a familiar face within the Scottish Rock Choir community, with many members recognising him from those early days.
Performing across iconic venues
One of the highlights of Sam’s experience has been the opportunity to take part in performances at a wide range of venues.
“The best part of my experience in Rock Choir has been getting to perform at different venues such as the Edinburgh Fringe, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, even at the NEC!”
From local stages in Glasgow to well-known venues across the UK and beyond, each performance has added something special to his journey.
A place to keep singing
For Sam, Rock Choir continues to be a place where he can enjoy what he loves most.
With a wide mix of songs, memorable performances and connections built over time, it has remained a consistent and enjoyable part of his life.
