Wendy Cardo-Moreno – Rock Choir Romsey

Wendy first discovered Rock Choir almost ten years ago while searching locally for singing lessons.

What began as a chance online search quickly led her to a Rock Choir taster session in Romsey, and from that moment she knew she had found something special.

“From there there was no going back.”

Building confidence through singing

Since joining her local Rock Choir in Romsey, Wendy has seen a huge difference in herself both musically and personally.

“My memory has improved and I can now hold a tune and I am much much more confident.”

Week by week, rehearsals and performances have helped her grow in confidence while enjoying the experience of singing alongside others.

Every performance feels special

For Wendy, one of the joys of Rock Choir is that no two performances ever feel exactly the same.

“We are all stars! Every time we sing, whether in class or at gigs it is unique.”

From rehearsals to local performances across Hampshire and beyond, she enjoys the energy that comes from singing together as part of a group.

A first big stage performance to remember

One memory in particular has stayed with Wendy over the years.

“Salisbury Armed Forces Day was my first big stage sing.”

Performing live with microphones in front of a large audience made the occasion feel especially memorable.

“It has to be the fondest of memories.”

Armed Forces Day events across the UK and Ireland bring communities together to celebrate and support service personnel, making it an uplifting and meaningful atmosphere to perform in.

Finding joy in every rehearsal

Nearly ten years after first attending that taster session in Romsey, Wendy still clearly loves being part of the Rock Choir experience.

Whether singing in rehearsal, performing at events or simply enjoying the music alongside fellow Rockies, she continues to find confidence, enjoyment and connection through singing together.
