Hannah White – Rock Choir Rainham & Gillingham

Hannah first discovered Rock Choir while attending a local event in Kent. Watching the performance stayed with her and sparked the thought that she would like to give it a try herself.

That decision led her to her local Rock Choir in Rainham and Gillingham, where she soon realised it was about much more than singing.

“Feeling like I belong somewhere with no judgement”

From her very first rehearsal, what stood out most to Hannah was how she felt being part of the session.

That sense of ease and acceptance made a lasting impression and quickly became one of the most important parts of her experience.

“They all made me feel so welcome and part of a family.”

A place where you feel welcome

It did not take long for Hannah to feel settled. The welcome she received from the people around her helped her relax and enjoy being part of something new.

Week by week, familiar faces and shared rehearsals built a sense of connection that made returning each time feel natural.

The lift that singing brings

Alongside the friendships, it is the simple act of singing that continues to make a difference.

“Singing lifts my mood.”

Each rehearsal offers a chance to switch off and focus on the music, something that has become an important part of Hannah’s routine.

A local choir that feels like home

Looking back on her experience so far, Hannah is clear about what joining Rock Choir has meant to her.

“Rock Choir is by far one of the best things I’ve ever done.”

From that first moment watching a performance at a local event in Kent to becoming part of her local choir in the Rainham and Gillingham area, it has given her a place where she feels comfortable, supported and able to enjoy singing each week.
