Hollie Heard
Hollie has been teaching vocals for the past 5 years in both 1-1 and group settings. Hollie has also been performing since the age of 7, in theatre schools and local choirs which later developed to larger solo performance opportunities such as busking in and around Essex and London and singing at weddings and other events! More recently, Hollie has just graduated with her degree in “commercial music” from Canterbury Christ Church University.
In her spare time, Hollie gigs regularly at the weekends with her funk and soul band “Hollie heard the news”, and also works with other musicians in jazz and acoustic duos.
Growing up, Hollie listened to a wide range of music varying from the likes of Queen, The Beatles and Oasis, to Norah Jones, Sam Cooke and Otis Reading. All of these have been and still are huge influences in her music career.
The highlight of Hollie’s music career so far has been watching those that she has taught shine on stage knowing the hard work and dedication they have put into that performance. She loves helping students boost their confidence and cannot wait to bring this into her choirs!
Hollie is so excited to be joining the Rock Choir family and hopes to bring positive energy, enthusiasm and fun into her choir sessions! She aims to inspire and give all her choir members engaging and encouraging sessions, creating a warm environment and safe space for all to feel comfortable and at ease when singing together!
