Fraser Simpson
Choir Leader Fraser Simpson runs Rock Choir in Romsey and Rock Choir in Southampton.
Fraser is a multi-talented musician. Having worked as a music therapist for over twenty years, he believes passionately that singing is one of the most powerful things in the world and belongs to us all – energising and uplifting, supporting physical, emotional and mental health, and connecting people in a unique way.
In addition to being a Rock Choir leader, Fraser works for the Nordoff and Robbins music therapy charity, developing and overseeing its services across the South West, and enabling music-making opportunities for people in many different challenging circumstances.
Fraser trained at the Royal Academy of Music and is a highly qualified musician and experienced keyboard player. As a former cathedral organist with a love of 70s rock music, his tastes are eclectic.
He has enjoyed leading successful community singing for many years, including setting up and running a large inclusive hospice choir on the Isle of Wight for 7 years.
