Stephanie graduated with a BA Hons in Music in 1998, and continued her studies in South Wales to gain a PGCE. With Grade 8 Distinctions in both Piano and Singing (ABRSM), Stephanie has performed and worked with male voice choirs (this is South Wales after all!), female choirs; mixed choirs; taught piano and singing, as well as accompanying and conducting, performing in prestigious venues locally and on tour in various locations in Europe.
In 2012 Stephanie commenced as a leader at Rock Choir! 14 years later, the music is still flowing, arms are still conducting and this ‘Little Welsh Girl’ continues to make harmonious noise in the local community!
Since 2012 Stephanie has led her Rock Choirs at some fantastic venues and events, as well as creating memorable social experiences and singing opportunities. Within 3 months of becoming a leader, Rock Choir Pontyclun, Cowbridge and Bridgend participated in a national Rock Choir Flash Mob at Cardiff Bay, closely followed by obtaining a ‘Guinness World Record’ in June 2012 as part of Rock Choir’s ‘largest song and dance routine held at multiple locations’ (38 in the UK) with 7,914 participants nationally! We were off to an exciting start!
A visit to Paris, singing at Notre Dame and Disney followed in May 2015. As a part of the arena tours in Liverpool Echo and 02 Arenas, Stephanie sang a solo in the Rock Choir LIVE shows. A further arena show at the NEC followed and in 2018 and 2019 Stephanie performed on stage at the ‘Last Night of the Proms in Hyde Park’ (September), as part of the Rock Choir Vocal Group.
Stephanie became Regional Brand Manager for the Wales and West Region in 2015 – 2018. During that time, regional projects included – the Abbey Road Recording experience; Orchestra Workshop with a live orchestra recording experience, at Hoddinott Hall, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff; 900+ choir on stage at the Bristol Beacon Concert Hall.
Since that time Stephanie has continued with a few ‘firsts’ – the first Welsh Rock Choirs to sing at the Edinburgh Fringe (August 2019); the first Welsh Rock Choirs to record at Acapela Studios, South Wales. (April 2025). In addition to local events supporting charities, fetes and festivals, 2025 also introduced a ‘Flower festival’ concert and a ‘Pride Parade’ for Ian Watkins aka ‘H’ from Steps through the town of Cowbridge.
A personal musical highlight for Stephanie in June 2024, was conducting the Welsh National Anthem for 68,000 people, at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, for Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’. An experience that will never be forgotten! Other career highlights include featuring on Sky Television series ‘Stella’ as accompanist of a male voice choir!
Within the welsh music industry, Stephanie has accompanied male voice choirs both locally and in beautiful locations such as Palma Cathedral, Spain; and touring Holland, Scotland and Ireland. Stephanie also competed in both the National Eisteddfod (Cardiff, 2018) and the International Eisteddfod at Llangollen (2014); the International Choral Festival, Cornwall (2019), accompanying Bridgend Male Choir where she has been the resident accompanist for them since May 2011.
With landmarks such as the ICC Wales, the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, and scenic locations such as Porthcawl, by the sea(!), Pontyclun, Cowbridge and Bridgend Rock Choirs continue to indulge performing in these lovely locations and prestigious buildings in South Wales.
