Under the expert guidance of Timothy Travers Brown and Sophie Grimmer, Sonia honed her craft, graduating in 2011 with a profound understanding of historical performance practices.

Since 2009, Sonia has captivated audiences across the West Midlands with her commanding solo soprano performances. Her versatility shines through a diverse repertoire of classical masterpieces. She has lent her stunning voice to iconic works such as Handel’s Creation and Messiah, Rossini’s enchanting Petite Messe Solennelle, Haydn’s profound Maria Theresa Masse, Schubert’s graceful Mass in G, and Vivaldi’s exuberant Gloria. Her performances also include the soaring melodies of Rutter’s Magnificat and Mozart’s sublime Regina Coeli, Missa in C, Vespers, and the timeless Requiem, each showcasing her exceptional vocal range and interpretive depth.

Beyond the classical stage, Sonia has seamlessly transitioned into the vibrant world of crossover recording. Her debut album, ‘New Vintage,’ released in 2011, marked her foray into this exciting genre, blending her classical roots with contemporary influences. Her distinctive voice has also graced other notable projects, including an appearance on The Soldiers’ album and a collaboration with The Henry Ley Singers for their debut album, ‘The Leaves of Life.’ In February 2019, Sonia further enriched her discography with the release of her highly anticipated second album, ‘Colour My World,’ a testament to her ongoing artistic evolution and boundless creativity.
