Nick has been involved with choirs and group vocals for as long as he can remember. Starting all the way back in primary school, he developed a passion for singing through school choirs progressing into high school. At the same time, he learnt various musical instruments including piano, guitar and saxophone, igniting a much wider love of music as a whole.

Nick studied Popular Music at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with First Class Honours in 2021 and receiving the Anthony Wilson Prize. Since then, he has committed to being a full-time self-employed musician. He has musically directed several theatre projects in Wolverhampton and Birmingham as well as runs in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Outside of Rock Choir, Nick is a singer and musician for various wedding and function bands across the UK, as well as more regular work singing in care homes for residents. As you can imagine, the change in audience from weddings to care homes provides quite a variety, but both gigs reinforce the idea of music as joyous and celebratory, something Nick cherishes. In this way, his work with Rock Choir is exactly the same.

A Fun Fact

I once started a show I was playing keys onstage for by immediately falling backwards on my chair off a raised platform. Still played the full show.
