Music has been part of Liz’s life for as long as she can remember. She was classically trained in piano, violin, and singing from a young age, though secretly, she wanted to be a professional dancer. It wasn’t until she was 15, sitting at the piano and discovering she could play and sing pop songs, that Liz truly connected with her own musical gifts. In that moment, music became more than just discipline — it became joy, creativity, and connection. That spark has been with her ever since.
As a musician, Liz loves breaking the mould — in fact, Break the Mould is the title of one of her albums of original songs. She has always been fascinated by the human voice, which led her to complete a first-class Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy with the University of Wales and the Voice Study Centre. Liz is endlessly inspired by what the voice can do, whether it’s a soaring operatic sound that fills a concert hall without a microphone, or the raw, powerful belt of a rock diva. She has loved singing across these styles herself, always curious to see where the voice can take her.
Liz’s musical adventures have been varied and memorable. She has performed live on BBC Radio with the Daily Service Singers, appeared as a soloist on Songs of Praise, and received an award on BBC Radio 2’s Minstrels in the Gallery. A standout experience was supporting James Morrison in Jersey — an unforgettable gig! Liz also earned her classical singing diploma with distinction, a milestone that marked years of dedication to her craft.
Alongside performing, Liz has self-released three albums as a singer-songwriter, blending piano-driven storytelling with more experimental sounds. But while she loves creating and performing, her true passion is helping others find their voice and confidence. She has taught singing for over 20 years, working with everyone from children to adult professionals, always with a focus on vocal health, psychology, and self-expression.
In 2024, Liz joined Rock Choir and discovered a new joy in conducting, which she absolutely loves!
