Choir Leader Paddy Anderson leads groups in Bangor and Newtownards, Co Down, N Ireland.
His love of and extensive experience in music performance, teaching and community building come together in his role as a Rock Choir leader.
Paddy is also one of the very few professional flamenco guitarists in Ireland and the UK. He is well known in his native Ireland for his solo work and his role in Latin music duo Los Dramáticos.
A love of flamenco music and Spanish language and culture in general brought Paddy to Granada, Andalucía in 2001, where he lived for several years studying guitar and immersing himself in the world of flamenco. This sparked an artistic journey which continues. Other interests include teaching guitar; working in composition and musical direction for theatre; community music projects and peace building through music.
Prior to his several years of studying guitar in Spain, and his move into professional music, Paddy worked as language teacher, working in Ecuador, France, Spain and his native Belfast while picking up degrees in foreign languages and peace studies.
His wide musical interests range from JS Bach and Claude Debussy to Flamenco, South American Folklore, Cuban Son, Latin Jazz and French Chanson, via 50s Rock and Roll and 60s and 70s American Folk Music.
