Jan Moll

Jan has been with Rock Choir for 17 years, and over the last 12 or so, she has served as a Regional Brand Manager, looking after the South Coast and West area. While it’s a massive responsibility, Jan loves every minute of it! She is a trained classical singer, and although she has adapted her voice over the years to sing alto or bass, she still retains a higher register, albeit slightly less than when she was younger. Jan’s musical journey has been diverse; she loves singing jazz, though her band is no longer active. Recently, she has returned to performing a lot of musical theatre, which brings her immense joy.

Nothing compares to the feeling of hearing the choir sing with confidence, light, and shade, especially during their ballads. The sense of achievement and joy the choir members experience after performances is truly immeasurable. As a choir leader and supporter, Jan’s priority is to nurture and protect them, ensuring they feel safe and inspired, which makes every performance all the more special.

Beyond music, Jan has had some memorable adventures. She abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower in aid of cancer research—a terrifying experience she’ll never repeat! She even managed to persuade some of her fellow Rockies to join her, and despite the madness, they raised a significant amount of money for a worthy cause. That day was a testament to teamwork, courage, and the power of community effort.

Jan’s journey with music and community has been nothing short of incredible. She looks forward to meeting new faces, sharing more musical moments, and continuing to inspire and be inspired by the wonderful people she works with. Whether on stage or off, Jan loves the connections made through song and the collective joy it brings. Here’s to many more years of singing, fun, and making a difference together!
