Tom George
Tom has been teaching since 2004 specialising in vocal technical development and creative improvisation. He grew up listening to Aretha Franklin and James Brown and has been singing from the age of seven joining the school choir and testing out his musical talents. More recently, Tom graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music.
Tom has been a featured vocalist on top 40 hits around Europe and he brings a wealth of performance experience and energy to the Rock Choir team.
In his career with Rock Choir Tom has led choirs at the Hammersmith Apollo, Liverpool Echo Arena, Wembley Arena, the O2 Arena and Wembley Stadium! He has also sung solos at a lot of these venues also showing off his talents not only as a choir leader but also as a performer. He has a huge commitment to the local community and the charities involved in those communities, regularly getting involved in running workshops and shows for local charities – the choirs Tom leads have been involved in raising over £250,000 in the time he has been looking after them.
A skilled arranger and has been involved with creating arrangements for Rock Choir, he has led choirs to perform on stage at both Wembley Arena and the O2 Arena, and has coached many members to continue their development with music into in some cases to further education and beyond in a professional capacity. Tom is also often responsible for leading training for the other Rock Choir leaders up and down the UK, calling upon his experience and expertise having been involved in Rock Choir from a very early stage.
