Sadie is originally from the USA – she grew up near Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State and had a childhood of climbing trees and playing in the snow. Sadie was surrounded by music growing up, and always knew that her path was to pursue music. She is lucky to have a very musical family with many people to be inspired by, and super supportive parents with a truly extensive CD collection and a well-loved piano!

Sadie started playing piano at age 5, oboe at age 12, and she has sung for fun her whole life. She moved to London in 2017 to study Oboe Performance at the Royal College of Music. As a member of the RCM Chorus, she had the privilege of performing with the Philharmonia Orchestra under Esa-Pekka Salonen in Paris and at the Royal Festival Hall, London. She also discovered a passion for Historical Performance, and continues to enjoy performing on her baroque oboes across the UK.

Sadie has always believed that music is something that anyone and everyone should have access to, regardless of their background or ability. As soon as she read about how Rock Choir embodies this same passion, she immediately applied to be a leader and never looked back. Sadie joined Rock Choir in 2022, leading the choirs in Welwyn Garden City, Luton & Dunstable, Hemel Hempstead & Berkhamsted, and Amersham. In 2024, she relocated to Dorset to lead the Dorchester and Bridport Rock Choirs. A very memorable moment for Sadie was at the London Landmarks Half Marathon, where her choirs from both Dorset and the Home Counties came together for what was a special performance marking her move to the South West.

This was closely followed by another memorable event for Sadie – performing on stage at the Torquay Princess Theatre with her colleagues and friends in the South Coast and West Region, for the You’re the Voice tour in March of 2024. Seeing a sea of Rockies sing along to every word was a truly amazing experience.

Sadie loves taking her choirs to performances. From Christmas Markets to Carnivals, Festivals to Castles, Community Hospitals to the iconic Edinburgh Fringe, Sadie works hard to create memorable experiences for all her Rockies. Over the years her generous and dedicated Rock Choirs have raised thousands of pounds for charity, and love to share their uplifting music with their communities.

Sadie continues bringing her passion for music to her weekly Rock Choir rehearsals and hopes everyone leaves choir feeling joyful and empowered!
