Rowan Richards
Rowan Richards graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with a 2:1 honours degree in Music, specialising in classical performance. She is an accomplished pianist, violin and singer, having won a choral scholarship to Royal Holloway Chapel Choir and a university instrumental scholarship for violin.
After graduating, she gained a PGCE from the University of Cambridge where she sang with Queens College Choir, and became a Primary School Music Coordinator, teaching and leading childrens choirs before taking a career break to raise a family.
Rowan is now an active musician and songwriter who enjoys teaching, performing and accompanying.She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, sung at the Queen Mother’s 100th Birthday celebrations and gained recognition for her songwriting, achieving a finalist position in the ‘UK Songwriting Contest.’
She is passionate about Rock Choir because it combines everything she loves to do, whilst offering the chance for a wonderful singing experience in her local community of Shropshire.
