Morven is a keen singer, instrumentalist and teacher from Scotland. Graduating with a 2:1 in music from Aberdeen University in 2014, she is now currently working on completing her masters in music therapy in Edinburgh.
Morven is a classically trained Mezzo Soprano who has been fortunate enough to have received vocal coaching from coaches working in some of the biggest opera houses in the world. As a keen performer, Morven has been lucky enough to take her singing to some incredible places; performing in productions with companies such as Scottish Opera and North Wales Opera Studio where she has supported opera acts such as Katherine Jenkins. As well as classical singing Morven has a background in choral singing, musical theatre, jazz, and was even in a country band at one point.
Morven is an experienced vocal and piano teacher who has worked for a number of years within schools and charities providing group and one to one lessons to people of all different age ranges and abilities. As a keen performer, her passion lies in teaching and working with people in a musical setting. She feels an immense sense of pride for everyone she teaches and loves nothing more than seeing people enjoy making music and helping them reach their musical goals.
Morven is a strong believer in the positive impact music and singing can have on people and believes that music should be fun and accessible to all. This is an ethos that Rock Choir passionately believes in and this is one of the many reasons she loves being a part of the Rock Choir team.
