Kirk is a composer, saxophonist and ensemble leader. After receiving a BA/Hons Degree in composition from Coventry University, Kirk has dived into many different projects and roles situated around music. He has been composer/musical director for the award winning Classic Civilisations festivals productions at the University of Warwick and has also composed music performed by professional orchestras such as Stratford Upon Avon’s Orchestra of the Swan.
Kirk plays saxophone where he experiments with guitar pedals and effect boards to create a deep abyss of sound in his jazz projects, one entitled Messages To Mars. Kirk also is involved with many youth projects and charity projects getting young people involved in music no matter their ability or background.
Kirk thinks that Rock Choir is a fantastic opportunity for all singers, no matter their ability, that want to be involved in music. It focuses whole-heartedly on the enjoyment of singing together and combining their voices to make fantastic sounds within a welcoming and stress-free environment. It’s pure fun with all of the rewards and many great experiences that everyone should get involved in.
