Karl Montgomery-Williams
Karl has been working as a singing teacher, vocal coach as well as teaching other areas of performing arts such as drama since 2013. He graduated with a drama degree from University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, a PGCE teaching qualification in Post Compulsory Education and Training from Cardiff University and has achieved Grade 8 in Singing from Trinity College London.
Karl has taught in a variety of settings, including theatre/stage schools, primary and secondary education and was Head of Performing Arts at Wiltshire College and University Centre. He also teaches 1-to-1 singing training to both children and adults. Karl has musically directed and vocal coached many musical productions including We Will Rock You, The Addams Family, Frozen, Fame and High School Musical. He also performs, having played roles such as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Mark in Rent and played the title role of Adam in the children’s theatre production premiere of “Adam and the Gurglewink” at The Wharf Theatre. Karl was one of four nominees for “Outstanding Singing Teacher” at the 2019 Global Creative Courage for Life awards.
Karl is extremely passionate about the power of singing and what it can unlock for adults: confidence, positive mental health and so much fun! He is extremely proud to be a Choir Leader for Rock Choir and hopes to share his bubbly and smiley personality with his choir members.
