Josie Black

When she is not performing at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley with West Wickham Operatic Society, Josie can be found onstage at weddings and charity events. One of her favourites includes working with Damon Albarn at the Greenpeace Anti-Nuclear Weapon gig on the Thames. She also sings in the acoustic quartet ‘The Black Shews’ alongside two of her three sisters, fulfilling her love for three part harmony (Andrews Sisters – eat your heart out!)

A passionate vocal artist, keen to share her knowledge and experience with others, Josie has worked as a private vocal coach and has also taught singing at a local school, which is where her love for teaching developed.

Josie is a talented musician with an infectious passion for music that she loves sharing with her Rock Choir members. Seeing the community come together is Josie’s motivation and she is honoured to be part of the inspiring Rock Choir team.
