Ed learned violin and piano as a child. He has grade 8 in both, a BSc (Hons) in music and an MA in composition. He then joined a rock band following this.
He spent the next ten years touring the UK, Europe and the Far East, clocking up an average of 250 gigs a year, playing everything from small intimate gigs to a handful of people through to festivals. He’s played with many celebrities including Robbie Williams, Westlife and Michael Ball and performed for many famous people including The Queen (at the Y2K Celebrations) and Princess Anna (at the BUNAC Anniversary Celebrations).
These days Ed usually plays a little closer to home, though he and his band do occasionally get flown out to somewhere gorgeous. Recently he’s performed at The Cafe de Paris in Monte Carlo, the City Amphitheatre in Oman and the Rocca di Braccio in Italy.
Ed is married with four children, one of whom recently eclipsed all his musical success by performing a solo at The Royal Albert.
