Danny McCormack
Danny McCormack is a Pianist/Arranger/Conductor and Platinum Disc Record Producer. Having begun his career as a jazz Pianist and Vocalist at around 17 years old, he quickly honed his skills and became a sought-after Musical Director/Arranger, and by the age of 21 was the Musical Director/Arranger for Van Morrison. From there, Danny gained an interest in conducting and record production, producing and playing on Imelda May’s triple platinum disc awarded ‘Love Tattoo’ album.
During this period, Danny was also the Associate Lecturer at Derby University in Music Theory/Arranging/Song Writing and Vocal Production.
From 2008 onwards, Danny was incredibly busy musically directing and conducting/arranging and producing many popular artists including Roy Wood, Micah Paris, Brian McFadden, Alfie Boe, Rick Wakeman, Robbie Williams, Beth Rowley, Omar, Paul Yong, Tony Christie, Peter Grant, The Proclaimers, Richard Hawley, Beverley Craven and even Chas & Dave!
In the last decade, Danny has been involved in several mass choir projects for charities including a 1000-strong Suicide Awareness Choir. In the last 5 years, Danny has had the privilege of scoring, conducting and producing 4 albums for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra including the 2020 ‘A Royal Philharmonic Christmas’ which charted in over 50 countries worldwide.
