Clare Galway
Choir Leader Clare Galway runs Rock Choir in South Belfast, and Rock Choir in Lisburn.
Clare began her music training at age 7 and has since cultivated a rich musical career as a highly regarded session vocalist, violinist and pianist. Although classically trained, her musicality is further influenced by RnB, Jazz, Folk and Pop genres.
She regularly performs alongside Belfast Community Gospel Choir, McPEAKE, and Swing Gals, and her music has bought her across three continents. She has also performed at Glastonbury Festival and on BBC Radio. She practices a wide range of disciplines including choir directing, composing, and music education as well as vocal and instrumental performance.
Clare is a dynamic Choir Leader and has experience leading the Féile Women’s Singing Group for 7 years, directing Queen’s University Belfast Acapella, the JAM Teen Choir, and running workplace choirs in Ashton Community Trust and NI Water Staff.
She has delivered bespoke masterclasses in group singing and longer courses for The Eagle Fellowship Trust and Livmavady High School. Clare is so excited to be part of bringing Rock Choir to Northern Ireland, and is looking forward to bringing her dynamic energy and enthusiasm to Belfast and Lisburn, sharing the joy of singing in an inclusive and positive environment, and boosting people’s confidence in their own self-expression.
