Christina Dmytryk Clark
Choir Leader Christina Dmytryk Clark runs Rock Choir in Lincoln, and Rock Choir in Scunthorpe.
Welcoming, enthusiastic and with a spirit – and singing voice – that is nothing short of infectious – Christina is our new choir leader for Lincolnshire. Having moved to the area from London to be closer to her family, Christina brings with her a wealth of talent, not to mention 12 years of Rock Choir experience.
Over her time with Rock Choir Christina has grown to become known as a leader who brings a certain special something to her sessions, loving her time in choir just as much as her members do – if not more. Working – or should that be singing – to bring people together in a community that, really, is more like a big family, Christina has an innate ability to unite people, drawing them out of themselves, building their confidence and encouraging them to really fulfil their potential.
Thanks to her experience and classic and contemporary training prior to Rock Choir, Christina’s repertoire is huge, with some of personal favourites including Alicia Keys, Fleetwood Mac, Celine Dion to Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Deep Purple, and The Killers.
Outside of Rock Choir, Christina has proven her mettle in the industry having worked with and learned from world-renowned musicians such as jazz and swing singer Iain Mackenzie; vocalist and tutor Nikki Lamborn, the creator behind Shirley Bassey’s ‘The Living Tree’ and Damon Albarn (Gorillaz and Blur) at the ‘Green Peace Anti-Nuclear Weapon’ gig. Recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studios. Worked with Jon Moss (Culture Club) for Red Nose Day. Praised by Richard Branson for leading Rock Choir at London Marathon. Organised workshops for Rock Choir members with Mark De-Lisser, Kerry Ellis and Kim Chandler. Performed on stage at BBC Proms with Chrissy Hines. Performed with Gary Wilmot at Rock Choir Comic Relief weekend.
