Carey Camel is an experienced musician and choir participant, originally from Louisiana, USA.

He earned a BA in Sociology with High Honours from Princeton University, along with Certificates in Theatre and Spanish Language.

Music has been a part of his life since the age of six, when he began classical piano lessons and competitions, earning a first place prize at the 2010 State Piano Rally for the Louisiana Music Educators’ Association.

In secondary school, he was a part of all-state choirs, a special performance with renowned composer Eric Whitacre, and his high school’s esteemed Show Choir, which recorded albums each year and performed locally and alongside such acts as Foreigner. In university, he was member and Music Director of the Princeton Katzenjammers, the oldest co-ed a cappella group in the Ivy League.

After graduating, he returned to his native New Orleans where he worked as the lounge singer and pianist for the Bayou Bar at the historic Pontchartrain Hotel.

Since moving to England, Carey has participated in the Exeter Philharmonic Choir, performing alongside world-class vocalists in the Exeter Cathedral. As a newly appointed Rock Choir Leader, Carey is excited to spread his passion for music and enrich the local community with the unique experience that is Rock Choir!
